Short answer
Veo 3.1 Fast remains the default video model at 720p, portrait 9:16, and 8 seconds. Typeshutter video supports only 9:16 and 16:9. Non-Veo models offer 4, 8, or 12 seconds; Veo uses the smaller duration matrix below.
How to choose
1. Open Create and select Video.
2. Choose a model, 9:16 or 16:9, a supported resolution, and a supported duration.
3. Add reference images within that model’s limit.
4. Generate a short draft before moving to a higher resolution or longer duration.
Current video models
• Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast: 720p, 1080p, and 4K. At 720p, choose 4 or 8 seconds. At 1080p or 4K, use 8 seconds. The current image-to-video workflow accepts one optional initial image.
• Veo 3.1 Lite: 720p and 1080p, with no 4K. Choose 4 or 8 seconds at 720p and 8 seconds at 1080p. It accepts one optional initial image.
• Grok Imagine Video 1.5: 480p, 720p, or 1080p; 4, 8, or 12 seconds; and one required image.
• Grok Imagine Video: 480p or 720p; 4, 8, or 12 seconds; and one optional image.
• Seedance 2.0: 480p, 720p, 1080p, or 4K. Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini support 480p and 720p. These models offer 4, 8, or 12 seconds and accept up to nine image references.
• Seedance 1.5 Pro: 480p, 720p, or 1080p and up to two references. Its 1080p option is available only without references.
Create from image in Video mode
Create from image writes a self-contained video prompt describing the opening shot, subject motion, camera movement, pacing, and visual continuity. The analyzed image is not attached automatically. Add it separately as a reference if you want to animate that exact frame. Grok Imagine Video 1.5 requires that separate image reference.
Credits and refunds
Video is charged once for the configured clip. The charge depends on the model, resolution, duration, and accepted reference count. A retry, edit, or append is a new generation with its own charge. If a request is canceled before provider submission or is definitively rejected, Typeshutter refunds the exact saved charge. If the provider outcome is unknown, the charge is held for reconciliation instead of being refunded automatically.
Troubleshooting
• If a setting becomes unavailable after changing models, choose one supported by the newly selected model.
• If image-to-video rejects extra images on Veo or Grok, keep one image reference.
• If a quick draft is enough, choose a Fast, Lite, or Mini model and a supported lower resolution.
• Adaptive ratio and automatic duration are unavailable for new generations. Historical media may still show an older value.
