Short answer
Generation credits are not a single fixed amount for each model. The charge depends on the model and accepted settings, including resolution, duration, and reference-image count.
How generation charges work
• Typeshutter converts current provider tariffs at $0.02 per credit and rounds the generation total up to the next whole credit.
• Images are charged per generated image.
• Videos are charged once for the configured clip.
• Multi-image work prices the base image and each later image separately because later images may use the generated base as another reference.
• GPT Image 2 uses a medium-quality estimate because final token use is not known before submission. The estimate is not adjusted after completion.
• A retry, edit, or append is a new generation using current settings and pricing, with its own saved charge.
When credits are charged
Each generation attempt stores the amount charged for that attempt. This saved amount is also the source used for an eligible refund, so the debit and refund match exactly.
Refund behavior
• If cancellation wins before the request is submitted to the provider, Typeshutter refunds the exact saved charge.
• If the provider definitively rejects the request, Typeshutter refunds the exact saved charge.
• If the request may have reached the provider but the result is unknown, the attempt is held for reconciliation and is not automatically refunded. This prevents both a provider charge and an incorrect duplicate refund.
• Retrying an unsuccessful generation starts a new charged attempt.
Check your balance and plan
Open your account or subscription page to see your current credit balance, plan allocation, renewal details, and current pricing. Video usually costs more than image generation because duration and output resolution increase provider usage.
Troubleshooting
• If subscription credits do not appear after checkout, refresh the account page after payment completes.
• If an eligible generation refund does not appear, refresh the page and check the media status. Contact Support with the media link if the balance still looks wrong.
• If the media says the provider result is unknown, wait for reconciliation rather than retrying repeatedly.
• Past-due payments can pause subscription credit refreshes until payment succeeds.
